Trevor John Pichanick

Trevor John Pichanick learned the power of music and storytelling as a young child growing up in Zimbabwe.
Following his undergraduate opera studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane, Trevor John became the youngest member of the Opera Australia Chorus and made his professional debut at the Sydney Opera House.
In the following years Trevor John worked as a tenor soloist accross Gemany and Italy. He specialised in Liedgestaltung at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg and created innovative performance projects such as the Hamburg-based concert series TABU.
In 2020 Trevor John moved into arts management, graduating from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan.
He has worked at the Festpiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, actori GmbH, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Nationaltheater Mannheim and is currently the Referent to the Artistic Director at the Komische Oper Berlin. He is regularly invited as a guest lecturer and competition adjudicator.
Trevor John believes in music's ability to bring communities together and the power of storytelling to understand our past and imagine a better future. His passion is the beauty and power of the human voice.
